Brigstone Stable Holiday Cottage, (Amanda, Alex, Trent, Cooper and Shadow), could not be more proud than to be supporting Rosie Dowson in her efforts in representing Team GB this year at the Duathlon European championships in Poland, World Championships in Spain and European Triathlon champs in Istanbul, as well as her training going forward.
We first met Rosie and her Mum, Linda at the Skipton Triathlon (organised by Craven Energy Triathlon Club ) in September 2024. She was not only competing but had a stall in the start village, where she was selling cards, beads and cakes that she had made herself to help fund her competition, kit and travelling costs, etc
Rosie is picured here on her visit to Brigstone Stable to have a look around and show off her new team GB kit.Her family live in Yorkshire, just a stone's throw from Brigstone Stable, and like us, she is a member at the aforementioned Craven Energy Triathlon Club.More importantly, to prepare for her first competition abroad, The European Duathlon Championships on 26th and 27th April 2025, (the very weekend that I write this article), she was collecting a loan bike box and learning how to break her bike down and reassemble it for the event in Poland.We are really looking forward to hearing how the experience unfolded.
